Family of Farmers @lavaleaforganics
North Side Growers: (The Pharm Town Phunk Crew)
Growers: Aubrey, Mike, Sherill, Nick and Tate
Growing: Blue Dream, Cheesy Deezy, Purple Jones,
This crew holds down the entire North field at the Lava Leaf farm which consists of 400 plants in mostly 100 gallon pots. This crew is seasoned and knows exactly what they need to do get the job done right. If you can keep up with them and not cut corners then you know your in crush mode.
Mike and Aubrey were the first to test and prove to us that this community or sharecropping model was possible with the right committed partners on board. They brought Sherill (Aubreys Mom) to the farm fam and for that we are forever grateful because Sherill's aura is a vortex of positive energy. As a true nature lover, cannabis cultivation was right up her alley and she literally and figuratively helps us all grow! Now Sherill is sharing the knowledge and setting the pace for the newer additions to the North Side Outdoor team.
Community Garden Row 1
Grower: Cedar Sage
Growing: Strawnana
Cedar is a welcome and new addition to the team. He came to join us based on the recommendation of Sherill Call which set a high bar of expectation because she is a really hard worker and constantly brings high vibes. Cedar has followed suit and is growing some giant Strawnana plants that are set up for the win.
Community Garden Row 2
Grower: Jay aka Kray Charles
Growing: Puppy Chow
After proving himself as a contract harvester and trimmer it was an easy decision to allocate canopy space to Jay because he is coachable, intelligent and works like machine. You can count on Jay to give his plants his best. As you can see he doing an amazing job with Puppy Chow this season!
Community Garden Row 3 (Organics Plant Pros)
Growers: Benny and Albert
Growing: GMO Punch and Sugar Mama
Benny and Al have both paid their dues at the farm and made themselves increasingly valuable community members. They are maintaining the plants with all the TLC they need and having fun while doing it. In addition to meeting their obligations to the plants on our farm they obtained licensure and successfully started up their own. Right now they are on top of their game and doing great in both spaces. Please follow and support these guys on their journey.
Community Garden Row 4: (GoldToothGang)
Growers: Jasmine and Jacob
Growing: Tye Dye
This power couple grows all day and goes home to grow into the night. Their plants never lack attention and they have been known to grow some strait 🔥 indoors and out. They love each other and they both love Mary Jane.
Community Garden Row 5: (Ganja Geeks)
Growers: Ryan, Billy, and Daman
Growing: Cake n Chem, Legend OG
In addition to growing big badass plants and a big bad ass beard Ryan has a heart of gold! He has fought to defend his country and defends the garden from bugs and even bad vibes if necessary. Ryan won't hesitate to help out or share knowledge with anyone in need and all that love he radiates builds up in the trichomes of the flowers he grows. If you see this guy around give him a hug because he gives a lot out.
Billy and Damon are great team mates and hold it down like champions in Ryan presence or absence. Billy is a good guy to call when questioning whether to kill or keep a bug in the garden. At Lava Leaf we are super thankful to have the Ganja Geeks around!
Community Garden Row 6 and 7
Grower: Mike aka GanjaDaddy
Growing: Black Garlic, Blueberry Muffin, Hella Jelly, and Mint Jelly
Mike aka GanjaDaddy can usually be found tending to his plant babies making sure that they are not lacking food, water or Love! Mike is helping to keep the geometry in these trichomes sacred and luckily for us all he puts 💯 into everything he does. Mike designed our logo and integrated many of the new scaled systems we are running on this farm and has been a God send.
Community Garden Row 6
Grower: Cody aka Yung Cody
Growing: Cake n Chem,
Cody is a hardworking dude that paid his dues pulling weeds in the non-restricted areas of our farm starting when he was about 18 years old. He was so good at pulling the not so fun kind of weeds that we knew he would be great once we could move him into caring for the herbs in the garden. Thankfully we had extra plants and space at planting time because we were able to bring Cody in last minute for the 2022 summer season. It was a good omen that he was eligible and able to plant his row on his 21st birthday.
Community Garden Rows 6 and 7
Grower: Daniel G aka @dc.gonzales
Growing: Black Garlic, Blueberry Muffin, Hella Jelly, and Mint Jelly
Daniel is an artist in every sense of the word. He is meticulous in his practices and is a naturally gifted grower. When he pops a pack of seeds you can bet he will manifest a winner and find that flavor. Born and raised in San Juan County and true to his roots Daniel is not afraid of hard work or to get his hands dirty on a hot day. That being said clean your mess or he will mess you up! Just kidding. or am I? It's best not to test it but do test these flowers because they will have it all.
Community Garden Row 8
Growers: Chris Martinez
Growing: Tye Dye, Aztec Mac, Strawnana
Chris radiates coolness everywhere he goes and being an excellent cultivator makes him that much cooler by our standards. The plants respond to his appreciation of them and their power by stacking trichomes and terps. When he's not training or trimming plants he likely to be riding or working on motorcycles. Chris is a stand up, hardworking guy and a San Juan County icon.
Community Garden Row 8
Grower: Brandon
Growing: Cake n Chem
Brandon thrives on gettin-er-done. He gives maximum effort to his allocated canopy and in addition volunteers to help on projects that need to be done around the farm. If its mission critical Brandon can be relied on to make sure that we keep moving in the right direction. This is his first season growing at scale and he is rising to the occasion and making us proud.
Community Garden Row 9
Growers: Scott, Mark, Emily, and Angelina
Growing: Puppy Chow
The DB's Organics team are new to growing but looking at their plants you wouldn't know it. They have proven to be coachable, intelligent, and diligent. Their plants are thriving and the buds they produce will not disappoint. Against all odds were able to launch their own operation with a 200 plant micro-producer license in Aztec on their property. Please follow and support them as they get that ramped up...
Community Garden Row 10 (Seed to Weed Organics)
Growers: Brandy and Ryan
Growing: Brandy Wine and Sugar Mama
Another Lava Leaf Organics power couple, Ryan and Brandy have been growing their own bombness in living soil with the New Mexico sunshine. Considering Ryan is on the level with us and 100% on board with our vision, we offered him some canopy space for this season. Luckily for Ryan and Lava Leaf Brandy is a 100% ride or die wife and supported this adventure. Now, in addition to holding down full time jobs and raising kids together these two are also maintaining a large and perfectly manicured section of canopy at our farm. I really don't think these two are capable of slacking off or half assing a project.
Community Garden Row 11 (2Buds)
Growers: Mark and Charlie
Growing: Sugar Mama
These 2 buddies are no strangers to growing good herb or hard work. Both have put in decades in the construction industry, thought they could retire and realized they are addicted to this labor of love. Knowing this they leveled up their knowledge and activity in the cannabis space and are proving that they have what it takes to grow alongside the best. At any given time I would bet that their section is perfectly manicured and each plants leaves are praying.
Community Garden Row 12 (Naughty Nugs)
Grower: Jen
Growing: Donatello, Sugar Mama, Tye Dye, and Legend OG
Jen is brand new to growing and this is her first season in the trenches. We knew a few things about Jen going in... 1. she was willing to learn and follows through on anything she commits herself to. 2. We also knew that Jen only has one speed and that is Turbo Speed. In fact her plants were planted 10 days later than most and they caught up to the rest of the farm with all other factors remaining the same. I theorize that her energy was encoded into the plants genome though some epigenetic processes science can't explain at present. One factor may be that she gives her plants hilarious pep talks and loves them as much as humanly possible. We look forward to fostering her growth as a grower in the future and are thankful she's a part of out community.
